Martino Traversa: The Lost Horizon

The works on this CD offer insight into Martino Traversa’s artistic vision, through which he seeks to respond to his assessment of the state of music. He addresses the question of “whether so-called ‘classical’ music ought to have come to an end with the latest fragmentism of Nono and a waft of Sciarrino” by pursuing a post-structuralist constructivism that reinvents a compositional space bounded by two French linguistic poles: Boulez and Debussy.
